Skill Enhancement Initiatives

Our college aims to inculcate entrepreneurial spirit among the young minds and with the objective of providing a platform where potential is tapped & opportunities are grabbed to assist, nourish & develop an aspiring idea into a business talent.

To achieve this objective college has established an Entrepreneurship & Skill Enhancement Cell also known as Rojgar Srijan Kendra in collaboration with Swadeshi Swavlamban Nyas, Panipat. The cell was inaugurated by Dr. Ankeshwar Prakash, Controller of Examinations, Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra on 11 January 2024. The vision of the cell is to produce successful entrepreneurs imbibed with innovative skills and ethical business practices capable of contributing towards the development of society and growth of our country.

This cell aims to provide budding entrepreneurs with insights and real-life business experiences. Entrepreneurship & skill development cell is a key contributor towards igniting innovativeness among students, helps them in product development & improvement and plays a pivotal role in employment creation.
The cell is committed to cater to the needs of the students to become dynamic entrepreneurs. With this objective various awareness programmes such as seminars, workshops, exhibitions and interaction sessions with successful entrepreneurs are also organized by the cell which give students an opportunity to become a critical thinker. Short term certificate courses are also arranged by the cell to help the students in building and enhancing their skills. These programmes are aimed at making students more enthusiastic towards entrepreneurial activities.

Glimpses of inauguration of ‘Entrepreneurship and Skill Enhancement Cell’

This cell has organized thirty hours training program on ‘Graphics Designing’ for students from January 15,2024-February 3,2024, where their designing skills were brushed up. Some glimpses of this course are as below:

Leadership Training Camp

A leader can change the world with his/her unique qualities and broader vision. Effective public speaking has been described as the most important tool for achieving success for the leaders. It is the shortest step to progression in one’s career. To develop such skills in students and transform them into leaders, The Economics Department of the college has collaboration with the Forum of Free Enterprise and M.R. Pai Foundation Mumbai. Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political and non-partisan organization established in 1956 to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and its closed relationship with democratic way of life. The Department of Economics in association with Forum of Free Enterprise has been organizing state level leadership training camp in college since 2016-17. Seven Leadership Training Camp has been organized till now in which 570 students from the various colleges participated and got benefitted.
